"Plug-n-play installation was super easy and works great. A definite improvement over turning the fireplace switch on/off all day long. The reason I'm not giving five stars is the remote. The good: it works through walls (so must be radio as opposed to something like infrared) - so I can turn it on from my bed in the morning. The bad -- minus one star -- is because the backlight on the remote is essentially useless. It's almost impossible to read the remote's screen without adequate light. (I'm looking for a small LED light I can rubber-band to the remote so I can read it in the dark) All that said, I highly recommend this product. Just wishing they'd fix the remote."
