"Item shipped USPS which means delivery is delayed. The remote seems to work fine with old plugged in receiver. The new remote control button labels are difficult to visualize (small grey letters on black unit), but I will eventually memorize the layout. Biggest issue is that thermostat reads about 2. 6 degrees higher than the two other new temperature gauges to which I have compared it, and the same is true when compared with the old remote which still works in the manual mode. So, unless I am missing something the thermostat is defective and the remote needs to be replaced. So now I get to call in Monday and see what my service option are"
